My most Jedi (or Dark Side) look. The most basic mistake in p*ss poor portfolio performance is not looking at enough companies. A company is a set of individuals you trust to manage your child's inheritance or your old age pension.
So if you say you will only look at UK companies, what are you? Racist stock picker? The Government even gives you tax-free wrappers to buy foreign-listed company stocks. And if you don't know what you're doing and it is not what I show in the video, then fine, don't do it.
But for the ones who are trying - well, in the words of Yoda - there is no try. Do or do not. So get it right or leave it alone completely and overpay an investment trust or IFA to do a p*ss poor job for you - as Nobel Prize Winner Eugene Fama famously proves.
